Running Sculpture + Aarhus by Light is a dance performance that revolves around professional dancers interacting with Aarhus by Light, the interactive media facade currently on display at Concert Hall Aarhus, Denmark.
Usually the Aarhus by Light installation is controlled by the public via cameras but on March 9, 10, and 11 the cameras will be pointed at two dancers performing an excerpt of the performance Iconic/Ironic by Archauz.
“The dancers give us the opportunity to try out the technology in a different manner. Specifically we have placed cameras around the scene, which combined with different graphical elements is presented live on the facade. We have created an interactive visual content, which creates a scenography for the dancers while simultaneously giving the audience outside the Concert Hall a spectacular experience.”
- Tobias Ebsen, CAVI.
Each dance sequence lasts 10 minutes and will be performed three times each day between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. If you’re not in Aarhus, the project’s website has a live webcam which is updated every 6 seconds.

Digital experience inspires a lot of people, showing exiting, interessting, innovative or even odd uses of new technology in an experience-oriented context. If you have a good example that we haven't already covered, we would appreciate your suggestion.
Digital Experience is a weblog on interaction and experience design.
